About JL ECO Land management

 Business owner Jean-Louis Verster has been felling trees since the age of 11 and started working part time in tree felling and landscaping when he was just 14. Jean-Louis obtained his Code 14 license when he turned 19, worked for several tree felling and gardening companies, then started JL Treefell, a family business, in 2008.

​Since it's inception, JL has expanded their services into tree relocation, alien clearing, garden services, outdoor and indoor landscaping, storm clearing, site clearing, equipment hire and chipping services. 

In 2022 Jean-Louis opened a new business, JL Eco Land Management, due to the need for specialised land management services.  

JL works closely with local communities as well as property owners and the City of Cape Town. Jean-Louis is currently a volunteer fire fighter for Cape Town's Disaster Management Services in his spare time.
